Driveways
Overview

Built for the Weight.

Driveways are the most punished flatwork on a property. Vehicle weight concentrated on four contact points, turned wheels grinding the surface, and heat cycling all day. Building one like a patio is the fastest way to get cracks in year two.

We spec driveways for the load: deeper base, thicker slab or heavier paver, reinforcement where it belongs, and control joints placed so movement follows a line you cannot see.

Our Process

How We Build It.

Same sequence every time. It is the reason the work is still flat years later.

01

Assess & Measure

We check existing drainage, slope to the street and soil condition, then price the right thickness for your vehicles.

02

Demo & Haul Away

Old driveway broken out and hauled off. Subgrade cut, shaped and compacted to spec.

03

Base & Reinforce

Road base compacted in lifts, forms set to grade, rebar or mesh tied in where the load calls for it.

04

Pour & Finish

Concrete placed, floated and finished — or pavers set and compacted. Joints cut on time, not the next morning.

Why It Matters

What You Actually Get.

  • Built for Vehicle Loads Thickness and reinforcement specified for what actually parks on it, including RVs, trailers and work trucks.
  • Drainage Solved First We set slope so water runs to the street, not into your garage or against the foundation.
  • Clean Transitions Approach, curb cut and garage apron tied together so there is no lip to scrape on the way in.

Frequently Asked

Questions About This Work.

Concrete is typically lower cost up front and simpler. Pavers cost more but handle ground movement, can be repaired in sections, and add more curb appeal. We price both so you can compare real numbers.
Foot traffic in about 24 to 48 hours, passenger vehicles at roughly seven days, and heavy vehicles after about 28 days. Pavers can be driven on as soon as final compaction is done.
Yes, that is one of our most common jobs. We match thickness and finish as closely as possible and place the joint so the new and old sections move independently.
