Stamped & Decorative Concrete
Overview

Stone Character, One Slab.

Decorative concrete is where a flat grey slab turns into the reason people compliment your yard. Stamping presses texture and pattern into fresh concrete. Staining drives translucent color into the surface so the natural variation shows through. Overlays resurface concrete you already have.

Each finish has a different cost, look and maintenance profile, and each is unforgiving about timing — stamp too early or too late and the pattern is wrong permanently. We will show you past work in person before you commit.

Our Process

How We Build It.

Same sequence every time. It is the reason the work is still flat years later.

01

Pick the Finish

We show you real samples and past work so you can see pattern, color and sheen in daylight rather than on a screen.

02

Prep & Pour

Base and forms handled exactly as any structural slab — decorative work sits on top of good fundamentals.

03

Apply the Finish

Stamp, stain, overlay or TopCast applied in the narrow window where the material is ready. Timing is everything here.

04

Seal & Protect

Sealer applied to lock in color, resist stains and bring out depth. We tell you exactly when to reseal.

Why It Matters

What You Actually Get.

  • Stone Looks, Concrete Budget Stamping gets you slate, flagstone, cobble or wood plank appearance without the material and labor cost of real stone.
  • Stain Shows the Real Surface Most stains are semi-translucent, so the natural variation of the concrete comes through. No two slabs finish identically.
  • Overlays Save Existing Slabs If the concrete is structurally sound but ugly, an overlay from a feather finish up to about three quarters of an inch can resurface it instead of replacing it.

Frequently Asked

Questions About This Work.

It can be when wet, which is why we add a non-slip additive to the sealer on pool decks and any sloped surface. Tell us where it is going and we spec accordingly.
Typically every two to three years in Southern California sun. Resealing is inexpensive and it is what keeps the color from fading.
If the cracking is cosmetic and the slab is stable, yes. If the slab is heaving or the cracks are moving, an overlay will just crack again — we will tell you honestly which one you have.
