Pavers give you something poured concrete cannot: a surface that flexes with the ground instead of cracking against it, drains instead of pooling, and can be lifted and reset if a utility ever needs to come through.
All of that depends on base prep. Set on loose soil, a paver patio will rut and spread within a couple of seasons no matter how good the stone is. We excavate to depth, compact road base in lifts, screed the bedding sand, then set the field so joints stay tight.
Same sequence every time. It is the reason the work is still flat years later.
We mark the footprint, confirm the pattern and border, and set finished elevations so water runs away from the house.
Soil cut to depth, road base installed in lifts and plate-compacted. This is where a paver job is won or lost.
Bedding sand screeded flat, pavers laid to pattern, then cut in cleanly against walls, curves and obstacles.
Final compaction locks the field, polymeric sand fills the joints, and we clean and seal on request.
